What we are about...

If you’ve ever fancied learning a bit more about your digital camera, you’re in the right place! Our group is all about starting from scratch—no previous experience needed. In our friendly and relaxed “Knowledge transfer” sessions, we’ll go through the basics together, exploring what those buttons and settings actually do and how they can help you take your photos from quick snaps to thoughtfully crafted pictures. We’ll also chat about simple tips for composition, making it easy for everyone to join in and pick up new skills.

Our main aim is to give you the confidence to use your camera and enjoy taking better photos. Once you feel comfortable, you’ll have the chance to put what you’ve learnt into practice and maybe even join the Photography Group for more adventures!

Interested?

New members are always welcome—there are four set times during the year when you can start your “Learning” journey: 1st February, 1st May, 1st August, and 1st November. If you’d like to join outside these dates, don’t worry! Just let us know, and we’ll pop your name on a waiting list and get in touch when the next set of sessions is about to begin.

We’re looking forward to seeing you, sharing some laughs, and helping everyone enjoy their photography. If you’ve any questions, just give us a shout!
