A u3a is run by the Members, for the Members

Romsey Archway offers numerous opportunities for members to get involved and lend a hand, ensuring your U3A runs smoothly. You can help by joining the committee, assisting with a social group, or providing tea and coffee at an event.
The u3a movement exists to provide a framework where YOU can get involved in helping to create, join and run different learning-based activities that will improve your knowledge and skills, enhance your physical and mental wellbeing and keep you socially connected.
If you would like to help out occasionally, regularly or join the committee, then please contact General Enquiries. We can then add your name to our list of volunteers that we can call on to lend a hand at events or tasks to keep our u3a moving forward, to the advantage of all members.
Remember: Many hands make light work!
To help run our monthly speaker meetings, we have two dedicated sets of volunteers:
Refreshments: Members of this group support the running of Romsey Archway u3a by providing refreshments for everyone attending the monthly meetings and at various other ad hoc events as and when required. A great way to meet and chat with your fellow Archway members. For further information, please contact the Refreshment Coordinators.
Welcome Team: Members of this group support the running of Romsey Archway u3a by providing a welcoming, friendly face to new members, primarily at the monthly meetings but also at coffee mornings and at other ad hoc events as and when required. It’s a great way to get involved in your u3a and to meet and chat with your fellow Archway members. For further information, please contact the Membership Secretary.

Content Creator: We are looking for someone who would enjoy creating and editing content on the Archway website, Newsletter and Facebook page. Using your photography and writing skills, you could create short articles or posts about our interest groups and social events.
The role does not have to be a committee-based one, but we'd be more than willing to welcome you onto the committee if you wanted to join us. Content could be developed by:
- visiting our interest groups to see what they've been up to and producing an article about that group and its activities.
- reporting on our various social events.
- creating items that might be of general interest to our members.
