On Thursday 23rd May the Theatre Goers embarked on their second adventure. This time it was to see the Maskers' production of Murder in the Studio by Agatha Christie in their tiny Shirley theatre. The three plays presented were designed for radio, which meant the actors had to make the most of their voice skills. The Playreading group will know all about this!

Costumes and sound effects were skilfully used to help us suspend our disbelief and we were soon thoroughly engaged in following the twists and turns of the plots. The first play had an intriguing supernatural element, the second included the inimitable Hercule Poirot and the third brought an end to the evening with a gruesome murder.

Altogether it was a most enjoyable experience and we look forward to the next one!
