Four members of the fledgling Live Classical Music group enjoyed their first outing on the 28 Feb to The Anvil, Basingstoke to hear the Basingstoke Symphony Orchestra perform.

Rossini, The Thieving Magpie Overture.

Rossini never fails to stimulate and this was no exception.

Beethoven, Piano Concerto No. 4.

Piano soloist was the brilliant Thomas Luke. The first and second movements were pleasant but the third movement was outstanding, thrilling.

Mendelssohn, Symphony No. 3 (Scottish Symphony)

This whole symphony was a joy to experience and bestowed a warm afterglow with the audience.
