Romsey Archway

Cluedo at the Plaza

On 16th May a group of ten Archway theatregoers went to see Cluedo at the Plaza.

We all had experience of the game and were intrigued to discover how it would be interpreted in a stage play. From the start we were left in no doubt about the identities of the characters as they were dressed in the right colours and all seemed suitably suspicious. The interplay between them was fast paced and often hilarious. Special mention must be made of James Consterdine, who played the butler/lord of the manor with great skill, at one point performing a very lengthy and dramatic summary of the story so far without missing a beat.

Production values were very high, and the audience was so impressed that effects were clapped on two occasions.

There was a satisfying twist towards the end and we all left the theatre having laughed a lot and  been thoroughly entertained.
