The Natural History group had a successful inaugural meeting on Thursday 4th July 2024. We met in the Memorial Gardens and took a short walk down by the river for an hour, followed by tea and coffee at the café in the garden.

We are a mixture of knowledgeable biologists and newbies, so don't be put off if you can't tell a bee from a fly or a dandelion from a dock. Most of our meetings will take the form of a walk on a local site of natural history interest, but we may have some talks in the winter.
Most meetings will be on the first Thursday of the month in the afternoon but this is not set in stone. For example, we might have an evening meeting to look at bats and moths.
New members will be made most welcome.
